Avi is a recognized leader in the Internet security arena internationally, with expertise in product strategy, cyber security, network behavioral analysis, expert systems and Software Defined Networking. Prior to empow, Avi was CTO and VP of Security Products at Radware, where he was responsible for defining, leading and executing the company’s strategic technology roadmap and vision, including the foundation and management of Radware’s Security Division, a provider of cyber-attack mitigation solutions. Avi’s views on industry trends and best practices have been featured in articles, white papers, and on the conference speaking circuit and he earned more than 25 patents in the arena of cybersecurity solutions.
Founder & VP R&D
Iko brings with him to empow many years of expertise in management technology positions. Prior to empow, Iko was Chief Architect at Toga Networks (Huawei Israel), where he led cutting edge technology projects as part of the Israeli innovation center. Previously, Iko was Director of Security Products R&D at Radware, where he led the development and implementation of Radware’s successful security DefensePro product, and before that he served as Director of Networking at Flash Networks. Iko holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Tel-Aviv Academic College.
Dr. Rami Cohen received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in 2007 and 2005, respectively. Rami has vast experience of over 14 years in leading network and system architectures in several major companies. Prior to joining empow, Rami led the SDN and network virtualization research activities of IBM’s research lab in Haifa.
Israel brings to empow over 18 years of experience in cyber security and enterprise software, having worked in consulting, solution architecture, product management and executive roles. He joins empow from Verint where he led its intelligence-driven SOC platform from conception, through delivery, to global sales and deployments. Prior to Verint, he was responsible for Salesforce.com’s Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), enabling cloud adoption while addressing compliance and data protection. Before that, Israel was with RSA, the Security Division of EMC, most recently as Head of Product Management for Fraud Detection and Risk-based Authentication. Israel holds a BSc in Information Systems Engineering from the Technion, Israel’s Institution of Technology.
